Born in 1961, Hammad obtained his Bachelor’s degree of Arts in 1986. He pursued his post graduate studies in Art, and then was awarded a government sponsored scholarship to study in Italy.
Hammad is a member of the Association of Egyptian Artists and a teacher at the Faculty of Art Education, devoting himself completely to his art, travelling between Italy and Egypt.
Hammad has participated in major art Biennales such as the Japan International Sculpture Biennale, the Venice Biennale, the Indian International Triennial etc ...
The talented sculptor took part in more than 15 symposia, since 1994 .To name a few, the Eldolnd in Sweden, the Sanguiliano in Italy, and the Mugla in Turkey, the Dubai, and the Ostarva in Czech Republic.
Hammad was commissioned to restore Mokhtar's the "Renaissance or Awakening of Egypt" Statue, to sculpt Stone Relief works for Nasr City Center, and do stone sculptures for historical, Zeinab Khatoun House and Herawy House.
Hammad is the recipient of several awards among which is the prestigious State Prize for Arts in Rome, and the Egyptian State Encouragement Prize.
