Hisham Abdallah

HESHAM ABDALLAH

Born in Qalubiyya in 1972, Hesham Abdallah who grew up in Benha, obtained his Bachelor's degree in Art Education from Benha University, in 1996.

Although he holds the position of Teacher at the Faculty of Education, Abdallah devotes the rest of his time and energy to work on his Art. Indeed he regularly takes part in local exhibitions and international symposia.

Locally, Abdallah participated in the Cairo Youth Salon for five consecutive years (1999-2003). He took part in the 4th and 5th National Salon for Mini works, as well as in the 6th and 7th Port Said National Biennale.

The talented sculptor is a regular exhibitor at the Cairo International Biennale for Ceramics where his sculptors were showcased in 1996, 1998, 2000 and 2002, and then it was at the Premier Salon of Noble Material that his work was exhibited in 2005.

Abdallah participated in the 6th and 8th International Sculpture Symposium in Aswan and his innovative works earned him Honorary Certificates in both events.

Abdallah's main source of inspiration is the Egyptian's cultural heritage, mainly drawn from his rural background. However, he depicts the everyday elements in a modern abstract form.
