Abdel Magid Al Fiki

ABDEL MAGID AL FIKI

Born in Monofia in 1945, Al Fiki graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Cairo in 1969. He was appointed as a Professor "department of Sculpture" and is holding the position to date.

Al Fiki's original work earned him several awards. He is the recipient of Mokhtar Prize in 1973 and 1983 respectively, as well as the State Encouragement Prize in 1981Al Fiki was a member of the restoration team for the Sphinx Project in 1981 and was appointed to restore the Rubaeyat Al Khayyam Statues at the Marriott Hotel. These Statues were works of famous Italian and French sculptors and the private properties of Khedewi Ismail. The Bronze Bust statue of Ahmed Pasha Kamal placed in the garden of the Egyptian Museum is an exquisite master works of Al Fiki.
